On Saturday, June 25th, forty years after “Tarkio Road” found a home on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Brewer & Shipley will return to Tarkio, MO to perform on “Tarkio Road” (Main Street) for the residents of the rural community, which they helped introduce to the rest of the country.

Everyone here at JRdotcom is electrified to announce this very special acoustic show. Tarkio native and our main man, JR has been invited to open the Brewer & Shipley Concert celebrating the 40th Anniversary of their album Tarkio, Sat. June 25 in Tarkio, MO.

The duo is famous for their hits such as “One Toke Over the Line” and “Tarkio Road” which helped establish the group as a plight on morality during the post-Woodstock, Nixon administration. JR is famous for being from Tarkio, I guess. We don’t know what Nixon would have thought of him.

B&W songs have been featured in films like “Easy Rider” and “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” and the guys have been dedicated performers for over 4 decades.

“I’m high as a kite to get the invitation to do this show. No doubt the whole town will be buzzed.” says Riley. “The only paraphernalia I’ll be stashing is a Godin Multiac and looping pedal.” JR gets things rolling at 2pm and Brewer & Shipley will fire it up at 3pm.
