We all know our guy is breaking new ground and forging new paths in all things musical. Now it seems that throwing your body recklessly into the trajectory of the muse can have some very debilitating repercussions.

When our guy began experiencing some leg discomfort during the recent “Ready, Rock, Reggae” Tour de Soca Jukebox we spared no time or expense in getting him analyzed by the best minds in the medical biz. Let’s face it, we’re not dealing with a spring chicken here. A crack team of doctors, therapists, physiologists and specialist were assembled to poke, prod and ponder on the nature of the ailment. After careful rumination and cautious deliberation, they’ve arrived at a totally new condition. Diagnosis… Wah-Wah-Knee.

It appears that JR’s excessive use of the envelope filtering tonal effect (generally manipulated by rocking of the foot) widely known as “the wah-wah pedal” has caused the player a specific type of repetitive stress never before seen in the annals of medical history. The rigors of the road with Soca Jukebox and unrestrained rocking of the wah are clearly the culprit. There you go again, JR! Blazing trails of injury. They’ll probably even name the affliction after him.

Not to worry. All is reparable and restoration is underway. They even gave him a cool new outfit with matching hat and booties. Soca Jukebox has an excellent health plan. We can confirm the guy never missed even one “bow chicka wow wow”. You cannot stop this guy. Don’t even try.
