It’s the last week of school at the Riley household bringing closure to a hard fought year of study, scheduling activities, picking up, dropping off, packing lunches and staying on task. Really looking forward to sometime off the grid this summer with lots a great stuff planned for the family. We’re going to make some time for some musical adventure as well. Get a jump on it with us this week!
This week in JR…
Steve Jones/Jason Riley @ the Snakebite Club Thurs. @ 8pm. Steve is an incredible guitar stylist and vocalist with a penchant for Hot Club en route from Michigan. Grateful for the opportunity to back him up on great gypsy jazz repertoire from Django Reinhardt, American Swing and Brazilian Sambas and Bossa Nova. Up with Django!
The Soca Duo rides again! The Soca Jukebox summer season officially kicks off with Memorial day next week. Catch Clay J and yours truly at the brand new Graffiti Grill on Broadway in KC this weekend. We’ve heard great things about this venue and hope you’ll get a jump on the summer with us. Brave Reggae starts at 8.
Here’s the newest video from Funky Folk. On the recent tour we captured some train footage with America as the back drop for you guessed it… “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad”. You can see lots of videos right here on our videos page (how about that?) or you might consider becoming a Free subscriber to our YouTube affiliate channel, jasonrileydotcom.
Thanks for checking in, come back often and hope to see you soon!
