Well… after a couple of weeks on the road promoting Funky Folk it’s great to get back home to the family and my own bed. Arrived just in time for an 8 year-old’s B-day, Mother’s Day weekend and a great Friday night show with Rock mega-dons and donnas, Under the Influence (see video below).
It was a great run, successful and eventful without mis-fire or mishap (more or less). A lot of cool stuff happened we want to share. There will be a complete expose on the entire Tour de funk in the days and weeks ahead. Lots of video and administrative duties to work through and a few more dates to wrap that up.
This Week in JR…
Lots going on this week too. JR dot com is streaming concerts and events live to web now whenever possible. We’ll have some special events to celebrate that.
The Funk has far from subsided! We’ll be presenting to the good children of Honey Tree Nursery School this week and wrapping up the tour in Lincoln NE this weekend.
Under the Influence kicks-off and celebrates the 10th anniversary of Parties on the Parkway this Thurs. May 12. Yours truly was the very first act on this great series. Now that’s just good taste.
Wigging Out for Tasha’s Fight is a benefit for Tasha Beason Berls fight against cancer. Tasha is one of our hometown girls and we’re pulling for her as hard as we can. Live entertainment and silent auction Thurs. May 12, 630-11, Terrace on the Grand, KCMO
