When I was in school, Savannah High School had one of the baddest (meaning the best) Marching bands around. The were unstoppable. That kind of dedication to quality has served the MO community very well as they’ve turned out top graduates for over 100 years.
I doubt there is any coincidence that UTI founder and rhythm guitar force made his way through those ranks to establish one of the areas baddest (meaning the best) and most unstoppable rock bands. Savannah and the good people there have been an integral part of the Under The Influence make-up since it’s inception 20 years ago. Even the infamous “Great White Bus-alo” donned the inscription, “Savannah MO” as we traveled from town to town, broken down on the highway shoulder or even once, on fire in a rest area. Thank you, Savannah MO for all you’ve given us!
Under the Influence will be performing Saturday June 9th for the Savannah Alumni’s tri-annual celebration. It is free and open to the public, alumni and non alumni alike. Complete list of events. This will take place on the square in Savannah. Live entertainment starts at noon with a Set from Pig Farmer (Jimmy’s an Alumni too and still keeps the studio within a stone’s throw of this fair city). Under the Influence takes the stage at 8:30 pm. There will be food and beverage vendors available and if there is any nostalgic sense of justice, a Killer Marching Band!
