Twenty Seasons. One Amazing Home Away From Home.

In 2006, Soca Jukebox was just a band passing through central Nebraska.

Little did we know that one stop at Cunningham’s Journal on the Bricks would turn into one of the greatest relationships of our musical lives.

This year, as Soca Jukebox celebrates 25 years as a band, we’re also celebrating 20 incredible seasons performing at Cunningham’s—a place that has truly become our home away from home.

Over the years we’ve watched families grow…including our own. My sister and her family have made Kearney home, giving us another reason to look forward to every trip west. We’ve shared countless laughs with the amazing staff, celebrated weddings, rocked Buffalo County Fair events, played private parties, and made friendships that have lasted nearly two decades.

We’ve also watched Cunningham’s continue to grow into something special. Their ownership, management, and staff have built more than a restaurant—they’ve built a community. Every time we arrive, we’re welcomed like family and treated with incredible hospitality.

(And yes…the Journal Burger and the famous skewers are still at the top of the band’s pre-show favorites!)

A special thank you goes to our longtime production manager and friend, Mark Adams, whose professionalism, hard work, and friendship have helped make every show memorable.

Most importantly, thank you to the thousands of friends, families, dancers, singers, and loyal patrons who have spent summer nights with us through the years. You are the reason we keep coming back.

Now it’s time to celebrate together!
